- This is another solid commentary from Davis. I loved the beginning of the series (which began with Joshua), and, although I don't feel that any of the succeeding books were quite as scintillating, they're all insightful and I always come away having learned something. This installment is no different. Next to the one on Joshua, it's probably one of my favorites so far, since it brings to light quite a few interesting details about the life of David.
- One of the very best commentaries I have found. Too many are written without READING in mind; DRD doesn't forget that. I'm am bust trying to buy everything he wrote.
- Beautiful written pulpit commentary full of learned insight. I love this series of commentaries!
